Training and Education with a Future
Schools are opening up to collaborate with businesses. This is an effective way to prepare students during their school years for future vocational training and to support them in making career choices. Since we also consider collaboration with schools to be very important, we are pleased that we were able to establish an educational partnership with Otto Hahn High School at the end of the 2018–2019 school year.
The goal of the partnership
The goal of this educational partnership is to inspire young people to pursue computer science. This allows students to learn about the benefits of working at a small or medium-sized business. In addition, we aim to prepare students well for the search for an apprenticeship or college spot through job application training and to give them insight into professional life and practical work. In particular, subjects in the STEM field can be strengthened and made more engaging in this way. With us as an educational partner in the field of computer science, schools can bring the increasingly important aspect of digitalization to the forefront and prioritize it.
For example, we are planning joint IT-themed afternoons featuring presentations and workshops on specific IT topics. In addition, OHG benefits from our membership in the newly founded ITsNET business network, an association of several small and medium-sized enterprises in the Stuttgart region. We will also be participating as a new partner in OHG’s career information afternoon next school year.
So nothing stands in the way of a great partnership!
We’re well-prepared for the future—are you?
